there’s a really good chance you have everything needed already in your pantry!
chocolate and peanut butter is such a classic combination that works soooo well, plus, who doesn’t love an easy chocolatey treat?!
the squares require five ingredients total! seriously, that’s it!
to make the squares, you only need runny peanut butter, maple syrup, coconut flour, almond flour and vanilla extract.
the coconut flour and almond flour provide a little bit of bulk to the otherwise really runny peanut butter.
it freezes really nicely though and once you let the squares thaw a bit, the base is fudgy.
i combined the ingredients to make a thick dough and spread it onto a parchment lined 8 x 8 baking pan.
after you freeze the dough for only 20 minutes, you can then add the melted chocolate chips with coconut oil on top and freeze for a couple of hours!
these fudgy squares are so yummy and are perfect for a dessert or to bring to a gathering!
for a fun topping, i recommend adding some toasted coconut or even sea salt!

Vegan Chocolate Peanut Butter SquaresCourse: Snacks
16 ounces runny peanut butter (used whole foods brand)
1/3 cup maple syrup
1/3 cup coconut flour
1/3 cup almond flour
1 tbsp vanilla extract
- chocolate coating
1 cup dairy free chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
- mix the peanut butter ingredients together in a large mixing bowl until a thick dough forms.
- spread onto a parchment lined bread loaf pan.
- freeze for 20 minutes.
- melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil and pour on top. top with your favorites like toasted coconut or sea salt.
- freeze for a couple of hours, thaw a bit before slicing so the chocolate doesn’t crack much and enjoy!!
