Healthy Banana Date Chocolate BitesCourse: Bites, Desserts, Snacks, Sweet
8 large pitted medjool dates
16 slices of ripe banana
1 cup thick and creamy dairy free yogurt (used Siggi’s)
thick nut butter (used crunchy peanut butter)
1 and 1/4 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp coconut oil
- open up the medjool dates and flatten them as much and possible.
- mix the banana slices with dairy free yogurt and place two coated slices on each date.
- freeze for 30 minutes and then add a spoonful of peanut butter.
- place back in the freezer for about 30 minutes. then, melt the chocolate chips and coconut oil.
- coat each date in melted chocolate once it cools down and place back in the freezer for 30 minutes.
- serve and enjoy! store in the fridge in an airtight container. you can place pop them in the freezer for 10 min before you eat one if a firmer texture is desired!
