one bowl, one love. there’s nothing better than a healthier + vegan version of a classic. say hello to One Bowl Delicious Vegan Brownie Bread!
i live for an easy, nourishing and flippin’ scrumptious dessert. when less of a mess is part of the equation, count me in. ya just need one bowl to make this loaf of heaven.
minimal ingredients are required yet again, which we love right?! rich cocoa powder, oat flour, almond butter, maple syrup, coconut sugar and a few other ingredients make One Bowl Delicious Vegan Brownie Bread extra special.

check out that perfect texture!! oh my word it came out glorious. i used oat flour, which i really prefer for my vegan bread recipes. it comes out yummy every damn time.
the absolute best part is that itβs made in 1-bowl, which means no mess and no hassle. you only bake this for 28 minutes and then you have yourself the best treat in the whole world.
for me, it’s the glass of cold almond milk that One Bowl Delicious Vegan Brownie Bread gets dunked in….amazing.

oh ok, like batter perfection over here. good luck not eating a spoonful (or 5) of this stuff before it even hits the oven. i was heading toward having half a loaf to bake at the rate i was eating the batter haha.
you could totally add some chocolate chips in there too! i waited until i frosted the brownie bread and added some to the top, but kind of wish i added some to the batter.

oooh ooooh and i made a fun lil video of the making of the brownie bread, so be sure to click on it below!!
alright, so what all do you need to make One Bowl Delicious Vegan Brownie Bread?!
- oat flour
- baking powder
- cocoa powder (recommend using Whole Foods 365 brand, it’s extra rich)
- coconut sugar
- cinnamon
- almond butter (any creamy nut or seed butter works)
- maple syrup
- avocado oil (extra virgin olive oil or liquid coconut oil works)
- almond milk (or any dairy free)
sub at your own risk lol. if you have to make subs, the best options would be spelt or whole wheat flour but beyond that…at your own risk.

sometimes i make my own buttercream, sometimes i don’t. for this particular recipe, i took a shortcut and used Simple Mills Chocolate Frosting, which is one of my favorite store-bought ones!
always down for a homemade one too though! also, you could add vanilla frosting, nut butter, seed butter, or vegan cream cheese sweetened with some maple syrup.

This sounds delicious! I really want to try it π
But I was wondering, how big (or small) is you baking tin?
Thanks π
hi! it’s just a standard bread loaf pan π
This is sooo good! Even with my experimental mods (no coconut sugar and a few other tweaks). I LOVE trying your recipes. Thx Mary!
woooo! love to hear it!
Hi. Was wondering if i could replace Oat flour by Almond Flour.
Hi! that wouldn’t be a good sub! I have lots of recipes with almond flour though π
I made this for Valentines Day and it totally fulfilled our chocolate cravings. I have been keeping it stored in the fridge & found that the taste and texture is best when warmed up & sprinkled with sea salt. I’m kind of sad that there are only 2 pieces left lol but it’s so easy I will definitely make it again.
love this so much!!
Delicious! I subbed a little bit of the oat flour for spelt, omitted the coconut sugar, and added 1/4 teaspoon of himalayan salt to the batter. I also used PB instead of almond butter. It turned out awesome- I love the texture, and it’s a great level of sweetness. I would add in some chocolate chips to the batter maybe next time as well! Thank you for this recipe! <3
