winter is upon us, and what better way to embrace the chilly vibes than with a treat that combines the richness of chocolate, the creaminess of avocado, and the goodness of plant-based protein?
introducing the epic protein frozen hot chocolate — a nourishing indulgence that will satisfy your sweet tooth and fuel your body!
this frozen hot chocolate isn’t just a feast for your taste buds; it’s a satisfying experience for your body.
the avocado adds a luscious texture, the dairy-free yogurt brings a creamy twist, and the medjool dates provide natural sweetness.
with the protein powder kick, you’ll definitely feel full and fueled for the day :).

there are substitution options if you’re not a fan of something that i used!
swap out the avocado for a luscious blend of frozen mixed berries, bringing a burst of natural sweetness and vibrant color. you could also use frozen cauliflower, and you won’t even taste it!
replace dairy-free yogurt with rich coconut milk to achieve that creamy texture.
opt for the mellow sweetness of maple syrup in place of medjool dates, creating a balanced and sweet flavor profile.
customize your protein boost with your preferred protein powder flavor and add a hint of peppermint extract even.
the process of making Epic Protein Frozen Hot Chocolate is really straightforward and easy!
ingredients:
- 1/2 avocado
- 1/2 cup dairy-free yogurt
- 3 medjool dates
- 1 scoop of vanilla or chocolate protein powder
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup dairy-free milk
- vegan whipped cream or yogurt (for topping)
directions:
prepare ingredients: start by gathering all the ingredients. ensure the avocado is ripe and the dates are pitted for a smooth blending experience.
blend it up: in your trusty blender, combine the avocado, dairy-free yogurt, medjool dates, protein powder, vanilla extract, and dairy-free milk. blend until the mixture achieves a velvety consistency, making sure every ingredient is harmoniously blended.
