topped off with a layer of luscious chocolate, these bars are a perfect balance of crunchy, chewy, and chocolatey goodness.
storage and freezing:
for optimal freshness, store your no bake twix bars in an airtight container in the freezer.
they’ll keep for up to a month, making them the perfect make-ahead treat for when sweet cravings hit.
when you’re ready to dig in, just let them thaw at room temperature for 5-10 minutes, or microwave them for a few seconds for an extra gooey texture.
if you’re looking to switch things up, feel free to get creative with your ingredients!!
swap out almond flour for hazelnut or sunflower seed flour for a different flavor profile, or use agave syrup instead of maple syrup for an even sweeter taste.
you can also experiment with different nut butters or add-ins like chopped nuts or to customize these bars to your liking.
best brands for vegan chocolate chips:
when it comes to vegan chocolate chips, there are plenty of options to choose from.
some good and accessible brands include enjoy life, pascha chocolate, and trader joe’s.
just be sure to check the ingredients list to ensure they’re dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
adding fun twists:
want to take your twix bars to the next level?
try adding a sprinkle of flaky sea salt on top of the chocolate layer for a sweet and salty contrast.
you can also experiment with different types of chocolate for the topping, like dark chocolate or white chocolate, to switch things up.
turning it into a pie or cups:
if you’re looking to change things up, you can easily transform this recipe into a pie or individual cups.
simply press the shortbread dough into a pie dish or silicone muffin cups, then layer with the almond butter caramel and chocolate topping as directed.
chill in the refrigerator until set, then slice or pop out the cups for a delightful twist on this classic treat.
cutting the bars:
once the chocolate has hardened, cutting the bars can be a bit tricky.
to get clean and even slices, try running a sharp knife under hot water for a few seconds to warm it up, then gently slice through the bars in one smooth motion.
wipe the knife clean and repeat as needed, reheating it as necessary to prevent the chocolate from cracking.
there you have it, y’all! with just a few simple ingredients and a little creativity, you can whip up a batch of out of this world no bake twix bars.
whether you enjoy them straight from the freezer or dressed up with your favorite toppings, these bars are guaranteed to satisfy your sweet tooth in the most delicious way possible.
