you can use any runny nut or seed butter though, tahini just happens to be amazing and what i had on hand.

almond butter, cashew butter and peanut butter would all be great subs! as far as runny brands go, i recommend trader joe’s, whole foods, target, soom, sprouts or crazy richard’s.

if you want to omit the chocolate chips altogether to make these a little less dessert-like, then go for it!

blueberries would be a great sub or maybe even some walnuts to create a banana bread feel.

no matter which add-ins you opt for (or don’t), you’re going to become obsessed with these cookies.

they’re soft, chewy, dense and absolutely scrumptious. the recipe yields 10+ medium/large sized cookies, so you can freeze a bunch too.

Ingredients

  • 2 large overripe bananas mashed

  • 1/2 cup runny tahini

  • 1/2 cup very creamy dairy free yogurt

  • 2 tsp vanilla extract

  • 1 and 2/3 cup oat flour

  • 1 and 1/3 cup oats

  • 2 tsp baking powder

  • 1/3 cup coconut sugar

  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips

Directions

  • preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • mix all of the cookie ingredients in a bowl until a thick batter forms.
  • use a large ice cream scoop and evenly distribute the batter into cookies. with slightly damp fingers, press down to lightly flatten the cookies.
  • bake at 350 degrees for 15-17 minutes and enjoy!
