there’s no more going to get togethers and not having anything fun or delicious to eat.

i can guarantee they will think they’re super yummy and reminiscent of “turkey” burgers.
these burgers are high in protein with hemp hearts, flax meal, tofu, and chickpeas! i love making foods that are nutrient-dense, incredibly flavorful and absolutely satisfying.
i seasoned the patties with garlic powder, onion powder, sea salt, pepper, mustard and cilantro, but you can add any seasonings you like!
you can also swap out the cilantro for another herb. parsley, chives and even basil would be fantastic.
after blending all the ingredients in a food processor, i used a large ice cream scoop to make sure the mixture was distributed as evenly as possible.
the mixture is quite sticky, but not too sticky that it’s hard to work with. i recommend ever so lightly wetting your hands.
The Best Vegan Protein Patties are first pan fried to get a crispy outside and then baked to perfection.
i cooked the patties on each side for 2 minutes in avocado oil before popping them in the oven to bake.
this recipe is extremely easy to make and only takes about 15 minutes to cook all in all. this is bound to be a new staple in your household!

The Best Vegan Protein BurgersCourse: Snacks
1/3 cup hemp hearts
1 cup cashews (used roasted but raw is fine)
14 ounces tofu (drain excess water)
1/2 tbsp garlic powder
1/2 tbsp onion powder
1 tbsp mustard
1/3 cup flax meal
1/2 cup gluten free flour
1 (15 ounce) can chickpeas rinsed and drained
handful of chopped cilantro
- in a food processor, blend all ingredients until a thick and fairly smooth mixture forms.
- use a large ice cream scoop to evenly distribute into burgers.
- the mixture is somewhat sticky, so you can slightly wet hands to mold into burgers.
- cook in avocado oil on medium heat for 2 minutes on each side until golden brown.
- then, bake in the oven at 400 degrees for 10 minutes.
- serve with your favorites and enjoy!
