No Bake Chocolate Caramel Apple Torte

Jump to Recipe

if you’re looking for an impressive yet super easy dessert, this no bake chocolate caramel apple torte is perfect!!

it’s got a decadent chocolate & apple base that’s rich and creamy for a cozy fall flavor.

the texture is smooth, almost like a chocolate mousse, paired with the tender, cinnamon-spiced apples, creating the most amazing balance of flavors and textures.

the cool thing about this torte is that it feels like an indulgent treat, but it’s simple to make with just a few ingredients.

to make it, you’ll sauté honeycrisp apples in vegan butter or coconut oil, cinnamon, and maple syrup until they’re soft and caramelized.

while the apples are cooking, melt your favorite chocolate chips (unsweetened or lightly sweetened is my go-to for this recipe), then blend with warmed dairy-free milk for that velvety chocolate layer.

after freezing the chocolate base for a few hours, top it with your caramelized apples and it’s ready to enjoy!

this recipe is great because it’s no-bake, so you don’t have to worry about turning on the oven.

it’s versatile, too—you can easily add in or swap ingredients.

want a little extra crunch? sprinkle some chopped nuts on top. feeling adventurous?

add a drizzle of caramel sauce or even a few dollops of dairy-free whipped cream.

this torte also pairs well with fresh berries, shredded coconut, or a sprinkle of sea salt!

when it comes to storage, this torte is best kept in the freezer.

it’ll last for about a week, so you can enjoy it as a quick dessert whenever the craving hits.

just make sure to let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes before serving so it’s easier to slice.

this no bake chocolate caramel apple torte is the perfect combination of rich, sweet, and satisfying—all without any baking required.

whether you’re making it for yourself or to share with friends, it’s such a cool recipe that’s bound to impress!

Ingredients

  • 2-3 honeycrisp apples (about 3 1/2 – 4 cups apple pieces)
2-3 tbsp vegan butter or coconut oil
    1 tsp cinnamon
    1/4 cup maple syrup
1 1/2 cups chocolate chips (unsweetened or lightly sweetened preferred)
1 cup unsweetened dairy-free milk (warmed)

Directions

  • cut the apples into small pieces, aiming for about 3 1/2 to 4 cups total.
  • heat a few tablespoons of vegan butter or coconut oil in a pan over medium heat. add the apple pieces, cinnamon, and maple syrup. sauté for about 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the apples are tender and caramelized. set aside to cool.
  • melt the chocolate chips in a microwave or using a double boiler until fully smooth.
  • in a food processor or high-powered blender, combine the melted chocolate, apples and the warmed dairy-free milk. it’s important the milk is warmed to help create a smooth texture. blend until smooth and creamy.
  • pour the chocolate mixture into a lined pan or tart dish and freeze for 3-4 hours, or until firm.
  • top with any additional toppings you like. slice, serve, and enjoy!
