ok, the sauce for Super Healthy Green Machine Pasta is really outstanding thanks to the unique combo of flavors.
they’re not that out there, but you might be a little surprised! the creamy factor comes from coconut yogurt and walnuts! so cool, right?
walnuts are my favorite type of nuts to use in sauces but feel free to make a swap! you could go with pine nuts for more of a pesto vibe or even cashews.

cashews are always a great option because they make the CREAMIEST sauces.
Super Healthy Green Machine Pasta is made in the blender by the way, so there’s less of a mess and it’s done within no time.
you just need to cook your favorite pasta according to package directions.

also, i added spinach and frozen peas. once the pasta is done cooking, you can add the spinach, peas and a little bit of veggie broth to steam them.
that only takes 2-3 minutes and adds some extra nutrients along with heartiness.
feel free to add any sort of veggies you want though because anything will work well!

Super Healthy Green Machine Pasta

- green machine sauce
2 handfuls fresh spinach
1 large handful fresh basil
2-3 garlic cloves
1/3 cup creamy coconut yogurt (used cocojune)
1/3 cup veggie broth
3/4 cup walnuts
juice of 1/2 lemon
1/8 cup avocado oil
1 tsp sea salt
- 1 lb pasta of your choosing
- 1 cup frozen peas
- few handfuls fresh spinach
Directions
- cook the pasta according to package directions.
- once it’s done, drain and then add the frozen peas and spinach. add a little bit of veggie broth and steam a 2-3 minutes on the stovetop.
- add all green machine sauce ingredients to a blender and blend until a smooth sauce forms.
- pour over the pasta, peas and spinach. mix well and enjoy!
