My Favorite Healthy Drinks

there are four drinks that i have several times a week and wanted to share them with you! from warm lemon water to the yummiest green smoothie and Mellö Magnesium Superblend, there are so many benefits to each!

ok, so we’re working backwards here starting with my nighttime beverage and ending with my morning warm lemon water!

before bed, Alex and i love having our glasses of water with Mellö Magnesium Superblend! we just mix one sachet into 8-10oz of cold water in the evening before bedtime, aka the time we want to Mello out.

with 404 reviews and 5 stars, see for yourself what the hype is about because it’s really a huge game changer. i even have a code, UPBEET.

personally, i experience anxiety, especially at night before i go to sleep.

there’s a million and one things on my mind and it’s been amazing to find something that helps me sleep better. magnesium is the 4th most abundant mineral in our anatomy!

magnesium deficiency can lead to issues that create more issues, like sleep problems, muscle cramps, and the inability to absorb essential vitamins and nutrients, like vitamin D.

my main reason for taking Mellö is specifically to try & regulate my physical stress response and help to decrease my anxiety at night.

Mellö is made from three highly functional and bioavailable forms of chelated magnesium (including magnesium threonate, the only form shown to permeate the blood-brain barrier) and combined with L-theanine, GABA and 70+ trace minerals essential to our physiology.

another drink i love, especially for my after workout fuel, is a good green smoothie with a banana for sweetness! sometimes i switch between spinach and kale but i do prefer raw spinach to kale.

also, on Sundays, i like to steam some zucchini slices and freeze them for my smoothies. half of an avocado adds an amazing creamy factor and healthy fats to keep me full.

for this particular smoothie, you’re going to need 1/2 cup frozen spinach, 1/2 avocado, 1 medium ripe banana, 1 and 1/4 cup almond milk, 1 tbsp almond butter and 1/2 tsp cinnamon.

that’s it! super easy and nutritious.

you may have seen this drink multiple times on my IG stories if you have been following me for a while! i absolutely LOVE veggie broth with herbs. sometimes, i add lemon or ginger and it’s soooo cozy.

this is a particularly amazing drink for chillier days. although there aren’t too many here in florida, it was a daily staple when i lived in Ohio.

it’s versatile too, because you can add any herbs that you like! my favorites are chives, rosemary, dill, cilantro and parsley. this particular one has rosemary and chives.

i remove the herbs before drinking it but kept the herbs in the glass for the picture! just warm up veggie broth, let the herbs steep for a bit, strain and then enjoy!

almost every morning, i wake up and have a glass of water before my coffee. lately, i switch between just plain water and warm lemon water.

warm lemon water is such a treat when you wake up in the morning with a fresh burst of aromas.

it’s a perfect way to boost my vitamin C intake and hydrate my body. all i do is warm a glass full of water on the stove in the morning using my teapot.

then, i squeeze the juice of 1/2 lemon in the water, mix it well and add a piece inside the beverage too! it’s so good :).
