21 ounces extra firm tofu cut into thick strips (1 and 1/2 packs)
avocado oil for coating
flour mixture
1/3 cup oat flour
2 tbsp coconut flour
1 tbsp flax meal
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp paprika
1 tsp umami seasoning
1/4 tsp sea salt (can add more if desired)
dipping sauce
1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes (rinse off excess oil)
1/3 cup garlic hummus
1 tbsp barbecue sauce
1 tsp sriracha
1/2 tbsp maple syrup
1/4 cup vegetable broth
sea salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
preheat the oven to 400 degrees. spray the tofu strips with avocado oil on each side.
combine the ingredients for the flour mixture in a bowl and evenly coat each side of the tofu strips after they're sprayed with oil.
place on a parchment lined baking tray and bake at 400 degrees for 20 minutes. then, remove the tray and flip each tofu strip.
place back in the oven and bake another 17 minutes. for the dipping sauce, add all ingredients to a food processor and combine until a thick sauce forms.
