Healthy Vegan and Gluten-Free Pizza Rolls

Healthy Vegan and Gluten-Free Pizza Rolls are what you need to get you through the rest of this week. whether you make the pizza rolls for yourself or the kids, everyone will LOVE them!

pizza rolls may or may not have been a childhood favorite of mine. ok, they totally were.

now that i am old, vegan and love to make healthy recipes, i knew that i had to recreate these gems.

you can get creative with Healthy Vegan and Gluten-Free Pizza Rolls by the way.

while i went with standard marinara and vegan mozzarella cheese, you can add vegan pepperoni or some sort of vegan meat crumbles too!

that would be good because then the center will feel nice and stuffed!

be careful not to overstuff Healthy Vegan and Gluten-Free Pizza Rolls though, because they can explode in the oven.

however, you can definitely add a little more filling than i did! i just hate when i overstuff things and they explode, lol.

basically, you’re going to make Healthy Vegan and Gluten-Free Pizza Rolls as if you were making mini pop tarts, but you don’t need a fork to seal the edges, your fingers work just fine!

the dough is pretty darn easy to work with! you can roll out the dough to about 1/8 inch thick.

from then, you can cut the dough into small squares or rectangles and then add marinara + vegan cheese, or whatever filling ingredients you want.

you can top with another piece of dough and and seal the edges with your fingers.

Healthy Vegan and Gluten-Free Pizza Rolls are SO delicious, easy to make and are created with good-for-you ingredients. i can’t think of a better snack!

gluten free baking flour (used Bob’s Red Mill, the red package)

almond flour

garlic powder

avocado oil

apple cider vinegar

water

sea salt

marinara

vegan mozzarella

Ingredients

  • 1 cup + 3 tbsp gluten-free baking flour 


  • 1/2 cup almond flour

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder


  • 1/2 tsp sea salt or to taste


  • 1/4 cup avocado oil – olive oil is fine!


  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar


  • 1/2 cup water

  • marinara sauce and vegan mozzarella

Directions

  • preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  • mix the pizza roll ingredients until a thick dough forms. the dough should be about 1/8 inch thick.
  • you can cut the dough into small squares or rectangles and then add marinara + vegan cheese, or whatever filling ingredients you want. try not to overstuff the rolls.
  • then, add another square of dough to the top and seal all of the edges gently with your fingers.
  • cut a very small line in the center of each pizza roll and bake at 350 degrees for 18 minutes (maybe a little less or a little more depending on size).
  • dip in more marinara and enjoy!
