Healthier Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Cups are the new no bake treat that you very much need to try! with a delicious combination of creamy peanut butter, chocolate and maple syrup, there’s nothing better.
the base is made with cereal AND what i used is completely unsweetened.
if you would like, you can use a sweetened cereal but three wishes unsweetened is my go to for this recipe!
no matter what, i recommend choosing a cheerio style cereal! there’s lots of options- love grown, forager, and nature’s path.
not to worry though, maple syrup is added to the crunch cups, but just 1/4 cup.
with the melted chocolate on top, they taste plenty sweet! also, i happened to use lakanto chocolate chips, which are sugar free. you can use whatever you would like though.
coconut oil is super important in this recipe because it’s what really solidifies the cups. the crunch cups will set in the freezer and harden nicely thanks to the coconut oil.
Healthier Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch Cups store well in the fridge for a couple of days and you’re welcome to freeze them, although i have not tried myself.
just be sure to thaw the cups before you eat them because they will be hard as rocks.

Healthier Chocolate Peanut Butter Crunch CupsCourse: Desserts, No Bake
- crunch cups
3 cups unsweetened cereal (see text for brand)
1/2 cup runny peanut butter
1/4 cup maple syrup
1/4 cup + 1 tbsp melted coconut oil
1/2 tbsp vanilla extract
- chocolate coating
1 cup sugar free chocolate chips
2 tbsp coconut oil
- add the cereal to a food processor and pulse until a grainy consistency forms.
- then, add to a bowl and add the remaining ingredients for the crunch cups. mix well and place in parchment paper muffin cups.
- pack down the mixture and place in the freezer for 45 minutes.
- melt the chocolate with coconut oil and then top the cups. place back in the freezer for an hour and a half. enjoy!
- store in the fridge in an airtight container.
