never will i ever turn down an easy homemade pizza recipe. while i absolutely love getting pizza at restaurants, there’s nothing like a homemade crust. Easy Vegan and Gluten-free Pizza Crust is made with simple and wholesome ingredients that you can buy at almost any grocery store.
i’ve made TONS of pizza crusts throughout the years, even before going vegan. homemade pizza crust has always been something i have enjoyed making.
in terms of different flours used for pizza crust, you could say i’ve tried just about everything. the worst one by far that i ever made had coconut flour in it.
huge no no. gluten free all purpose flour and oat flour makes the best pizza crust in my opinion and i went with gluten free all purpose this time.

guess what?! not only is my pizza crust gluten-free, it also can be oil free and nut free as long as you use a vegan sour cream that isn’t nut based and doesn’t have added oil in it.
for the sour cream, i used Good Karma Foods but there is coconut oil in it!
every time i make this pizza, it turns out amazing and it’s pretty forgiving if you make a slight mistake. if you want yours to be pretty sturdy, just don’t overload the pizza with toppings.

the dough is really sticky, so just a pro tip when you’re evenly distributing it into a pizza shape, slightly wet your hands and then do it!
in terms of the toppings, you can top with anything and everything. i took a pretty simple route this time but use whatever you want!
the serving size is enough for one, maybe two at most depending on how hungry you are. alex and i split the pizza this last time, but i was still hungry and easily could have eaten the whole thing!

al and i like to have pizza night and sometimes i make us some but other times, we just get takeout. this would be the PERFECT recipe for a date night.
and i would make two separate pizzas too! you could mix and match with the toppings and make it fun.
here’s everything you’re going to need!
- gluten free all purpose flour (used arrowhead mills)
- baking powder
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- dried oregano
- sea salt
- vegan sour cream
- vegetable broth
the seasoning is in there for flavor of course! no one likes a pizza crust that lacks flavor. honestly, it’s good enough just to eat like a flatbread with no toppings.

you can store the pizza in the fridge or freezer. it will definitely be good the next day but a bit more soggy. you can always place it back in the oven to make the pizza crispier again.
while it’s freezer friendly, i’m not sure how long it would last in there because this is a recipe that we typically eat on the same day.
if you are looking to replace the flours, you can sub at your own risk lol but i encourage you to follow exactly if that’s possible.
if you search my Instagram, i do have other pizza crust recipes, particularly with oat flour too.
